It has been a wild ride past my 26th birthday, and basically I’m still feeling a little depressed. Celebrated with a few close friends, close enough to care. Thanks guys, you know who you are.
And on the next night Aileen being the good friend she is bought me a nice dinner, nothing comes close to satisfying me with food – good food.
The next big thing was me joining the GRA autocross or to some it’s called a car park rally, a week later.
I try my best at joining these kinds of events atleast once a year, so just to prove that I’m not all talk and no walk like some people out there.
They talk about driving and how to do it fast, quick, but that’s all they do, talk. I hate those kinds of people.
I ranked 11 out of 20 plus drivers in my class. Not bad for somebody who only had like 3 hours of sleep.
But the craziest thing I did last month was to be the observer for proton’s Malaysian book of records attempt. They had a bid to do the most fuel efficient run around the Malaysian peninsular and needed somebody neutral to be the official observer.
Being with a technical background I was called and the challenge was accepted. It took us three days going from KL, up north and down to the south before coming back to KL at the average speeds of 60 to 70km/h. They got the record.
Oh yeah, I won a handphone! Thanks to Hyundai for organizing the fuel efficient competition for media. Drove from glenmarie, to kajang, nilai, klia and back to glenmarie with using the least amount of fuel.
Didn’t get first place though, the first two cars had lighter driver and passenger, me and my partner (azlan ramli) was in the slightly heavy category. Nevertheless we both got something for it.
Since we’re talking about wining, I also won a photography contest organized by Daimler Chrysler for their ml350 test drive to club med, cherating. Woke up at 6am to shoot the suv in the morning sun by the beach.
Worth the trouble since I got first place beating other more experienced cameramen. Dont wanna brag but they are really good.
In other news two of my friend’s mom passed away. Both because of cancer, I’m glad my mother found out about her’s very early so she had it removed and so far so good.
It hit me that if she didn’t know about it she wouldn’t be here now. All in all it has been a hectic month, just to keep my head busy from thinking how lonely I am.
This month looks like it’s gonna be another crazy one also thanks to raya. Drive safely people, call me cocky but remember the number one rule, "everybody else on the road is an idiot" so lookout and you’ll be fine.
Got a few plans I have to execute this month, hoping it works and I can get out of this awful feeling in my heart. Thanks to all the friends that tried to cheer me up, too many to type and I might miss a few. So not to offend anybody I’m just gonna say you know who you are. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
